Interview process

If you are selected for interview, you will receive further information about the interview panel members, and the structure and timing of the interview in your invitation to interview letter.

Interviews will normally take place at Thistle House, Edinburgh (although some specific role interviews may be held elsewhere).  We will try to accommodate your preferences for the interviews but it may not be possible to do so.

This stage of the process is designed to provide you with the opportunity to add to the evidence in the application form, in ways that are directly relevant to the requirements of the role and the criteria for appointment.  It will generally comprise:

• a legal case study exercise (Court Appointments only)
• a number of questions testing your personal and judicial skills, knowledge and experience
• a presentation (only for certain roles)
• interviews for non-legal Tribunal roles will also have questions specific to the Chamber being recruited
• an opportunity for you to ask questions
